Caramel Brownies

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter-flavored shortening
1 T. water
1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
5/8 cup caramel dip

In double boiler, melt together chocolate chips, shortening and water. Preheat oven to 325°. Grease and flour 9x9" baking dish. In large bowl, mix together eggs, sugar, and powdered sugar. Allow chocolate mixture to cool slightly, then mix it into the egg mixture. Stir in vanilla. Finally, stir in the flour and mix well.

Pour the batter into the baking dish and spread evenly. Spoon caramel over the tops of the brownies. Using a small knife, swirl the caramel into the brownie batter. Bake 40-45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
